SplitSecond staff will be making a presentation to the governor appointed board of the Florida Transportation Commission on January 13, 2009 in Orlando, Florida.
FDOT District 5 Secretary, Noranne Downes, pledges to support SplitSecond, and senior planning staff are looking for ways to help the program move forward.
Miami-Dade Expressway Authority staff expresses support of SplitSecond. In a meeting last November, senior MDX staff recognized the statewide problem of traffic safety for our young drivers, and agreed to support the efforts of SplitSecond. They are considering the best way for their organization to become involved.
The American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) endorses SplitSecond and makes the initial contribution.
SplitSecond is legally a not-for-profit and has filed all the necessary paperwork to obtain 501(c)3 status.
SplitSecond is a member of the Rollins College Philanthropy Center.
The Florida Turnpike Enterprise has pledged to donate a portion of the proceeds from it's annual charity golf tournament to SplitSecond. |
